Kiku Sharda and Harssh Limbachiyaa Roast Samay Raina: ‘He Has a Monthly Court Pass’

The second episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2 premiered on Friday, featuring comedians Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, and writer-comedian Harssh Limbachiyaa as special guests. The episode was packed with laughter, as the trio playfully roasted host Samay Raina, taking several digs at the controversy surrounding the show’s first season.

During the episode, Kiku Sharda joked about the show’s long list of sponsors. Looking at the sponsor list, he quipped, “I’m surprised to see so many sponsors. Considering how many times this place has been torn down, I thought your only sponsors would be companies selling cement and steel bars.” His remark had everyone on the set bursting into laughter.

Harssh Limbachiyaa also joined in with a witty comment about Samay Raina’s legal troubles. He joked, “I’ve never made it to the Supreme Court, but Samay seems to have a monthly court pass. He just goes there, marks his attendance, and says, ‘We’ll deal with the controversy later—just mark me present first.'” The joke left both the audience and the guests laughing.

Before the episode aired, Samay Raina shared his excitement on Instagram Stories. He revealed that he had grown up watching Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, and Harssh Limbachiyaa, adding that all three had played a significant role in shaping his sense of comedy.

Samay further wrote that sharing the stage with his “comedy heroes” was a dream come true. He said he was extremely excited about the episode and hoped fans would enjoy watching them perform together.

What Was the India’s Got Latent Controversy?

Last year, India’s Got Latent landed in the middle of a major controversy after guest Ranveer Allahbadia made an explicit remark involving a contestant’s parents. The comment triggered widespread backlash on social media, leading to multiple FIRs, police investigations, and legal proceedings involving several people associated with the show.

Following the controversy, Samay Raina removed all episodes of the subscriber-only series and stayed away from public appearances for some time. He made his comeback in 2026 with his stand-up special Still Alive, where he spoke openly about the controversy and reflected on the challenges he faced during the legal and public fallout.
