O.J. Simpson was the father of five children when he passed away on April 10.

O.J. Simpson was a father of five when he passed away at the age of 76. Arnelle, Jason, and Aaren were the three children he had with Marguerite Whitley, his first wife. Sydney and Justin are the two children he welcomed into the world with his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Unfortunately, Aaren drowned in the family pool and died before becoming two years old.

After Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were killed in June 1994, attention shifted to Simpson’s family. After being arrested a few days later, Simpson was the subject of an 11-month trial that was nicknamed “The Trial of the Century” by legal experts. An estimated 100 million Americans watched Simpson’s acquittal on both murder charges on October 3, 1995.

On April 10, 2024, Simpson passed away from cancer at the age of 76. Through a statement on his X account—formerly known as Twitter—his family made the announcement.

Our father, Orenthal James Simpson, lost his battle with cancer on April 10. His children and grandkids encircled him. The family respectfully asks for understanding and privacy during this time of adjustment “they said.

The complete list of O.J. Simpson’s five children is as follows: Sydney, Justin, Arnelle, Jason, and Aaren.

Arnelle Simpson, 55

When the football player Simpson became 21 years old on December 4, 1968, his first daughter was born. In 1994, Arnelle gave testimony in his trial, when he was charged with killing Nicole, his second wife. After learning of her death, she described her father’s emotional state, calling him “emotional,” “distraught,” and “out of control,” according to CNN.

After being imprisoned for an armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel in 2007, Arnelle spoke up again in support of her father at his 2017 parole hearing. She argued for her father’s release during the hearing so that the family may “move forward.”

She said of him, calling him her “best friend,” that “as a family, we understand he’s not perfect, but as a man and a father, he has consistently strived to act in accordance with his inherent nature and character,” according to CBS.

Jason Simpson, 53

In 1970, Simpson and Whitley welcomed Jason as their second child. He supported his father at some of the most important career turning points, including the 1980 Rich Stadium induction of Simpson into the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame.

Additionally, only three months before Nicole’s terrible death, Jason, his father, and their two younger siblings attended the premiere of Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult.

After the famous police chase involving Simpson’s buddy and former teammate Al Cowlings in a white Ford Bronco, Jason met his father at his Brentwood home and tried to talk to him. But at that very moment, the officers handcuffed Jason and led him back inside the residence.

As of 2016, the Los Angeles Times reported that Jason was living a quiet life and employed as a chef at St. Cecilia, an Atlanta restaurant.

Aaren Simpson

In 1977, Simpson and Whitley celebrated the birth of their third child, a daughter named Aaren. Tragically, Aaren drowned in a pool one month before her second birthday. Simpson hardly ever discussed the incident in public.

Sydney Brooke Simpson, 38

O.J. and Nicole welcomed Sydney, their first child, on October 17, 1985. Her mother died when she was just 8 years old, and her aunt and Nicole’s sister Tanya Brown helped raise her after that.

Six years after her mother passed away, in 2000, Sydney moved to Florida with her brother Justin, and the two have lived comparatively quiet lives ever since. Sydney studied in Atlanta for a while before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she obtained her sociology degree from Boston University in 2010.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Sydney was reportedly managing several properties in Florida as of April 2016.

Justin Ryan Simpson, 35

Justin, O.J.’s youngest kid, was born on August 6, 1988. When his mother was tragically killed while he was sleeping outside their home, he was just five years old.

Justin is in the real estate business, following in the footsteps of his sister. He was employed as an agent for Coldwell Banker, based in St. Petersburg, as of 2016. “It’s a great place to live, why not St. Pete?” he said in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, expressing his appreciation for the region. This place is stunning.

In February 2022, Justin shared on his Instagram that he and his partner were anticipating the arrival of a baby girl named Lana.

“We are filled with excitement, apprehension, and love he wrote in the caption. “In just a few months, we’ll be introducing little Lana to the world, and we can’t wait for you to meet her!”
