Aadhaar Update from November 1: Easy Online Process to Edit Name, Birth Date, Address, and Phone Number
Starting November 1, managing your Aadhaar card details is set to become much easier. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a new and improved online update system for all cardholders across the country. This upgrade allows users to make essential changes—such as name, date of birth, address, and mobile number—directly through the online portal, without needing to visit any physical Aadhaar center.

Smarter Verification with Government Databases
The biggest change in this update process is automatic verification. Whenever you request a change in your Aadhaar details, the system will automatically cross-check your information with other official databases like your PAN card, passport, driving license, ration card, and birth certificate.
This advanced verification system is designed to:
- Eliminate the need for manual document checks,
- Reduce human errors, and
- Strengthen the security of personal data.
Users can still update their details offline by visiting an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or authorized enrollment center, but the service charges have been updated to match the new system.
Aadhaar-PAN Linking: New Deadline Announced
The government has also extended the Aadhaar–PAN linking deadline to December 31, 2025. If you fail to complete the linking process by then, your PAN card will become inactive starting January 1, 2026.
For people applying for a new PAN card, Aadhaar authentication is now mandatory. Moreover, the KYC (Know Your Customer) process for banks and financial institutions has been made much simpler.
Customers can now complete KYC through:
- Aadhaar OTP verification,
- Video KYC, or
- In-person authentication.
These changes aim to make financial verification faster, paperless, and hassle-free.
Updated Aadhaar Fees (Effective November 2025)
UIDAI has also revised the fee structure for Aadhaar-related services. Here are the new rates:
- Update name, address, date of birth, mobile, or email: ₹75
- Update biometric details (photo, fingerprint, iris): ₹125
- Children’s biometric updates (for ages 5–7 and 15–17): Free of cost
- Document update: ₹75 at physical centers, free online until June 14
- Aadhaar printout request: ₹40
- Home enrollment service: ₹700 for the first person, ₹350 for each additional member at the same address
